Experience

  • Lead Character Artist at Bethesda Game Studios
    Rockville, MD, US
    February 2007 - Present

Started as an Associate Character Artist on Fallout 3 and worked my way all the way up to Lead halfway through production of Starfield.

I create fast and efficient game art.

I have created large numbers of game ready clothing, armor, weapon, creature, and general character art over the last almost 20 years.

My specialty and passion is in creature art and I have made large numbers of bipeds, quadrupeds, hexapods, decapods, anything. I am good at finding plausible proportions to fit animation and gameplay needs.

I have also done a substantial amount of hard surface modeling and design. I have taken on almost every role on the BGS character art team over the years. I am extremely versatile.

I love to find creative solutions to artistic or gameplay problems and I work well with other artists, tech artists, animators, and designers. Our art is collaboration.

I understand that inter-team communication and the ability to plan and execute are more important than making the perfect art. Games are a team sport and we frequently must leave egos at the door to ship on time and at budget.

Always looking to learn something new.
