Gatling Plasma

Fallout had a super heavy Gatling laser gun, but there had never been a plasma version. I created all of the plasma weapons in Fallout 4 based on the concept art of Ilya Nazarov. This weapon drew upon my understanding of that shape language to create an entirely new design with no concept art.

I wanted the front flaps to resemble a thrust vectoring jet engine. I wanted a lot of movement in 1st person because I love that for science fiction weapons. Because of bone limits the front flaps did not do anything as elaborate as a real thrust vectoring engine, but it is pretty miraculous we got it to work at all. I wanted the body to be boxy and feel almost like a retro washing machine.

I made all of the mods as well although I don’t think I have screens of them offhand.
